MILL HALL- The incident at Robb Elementary school Thursday afternoon that prompted a school lockdown was ended swiftly with the apprehension of a suspicious person near the school.

“Within the hour they apprehended the individual in question and took them into custody.  The lockdown was lifted in approximately an hour and students were dismissed safely,” the release said.

“All students were dismissed and delivered home safely this afternoon thanks to the quick action and cooperation of the County Communications Center, our transportation supervisor Shelly Ott, Patti Stevenson in communications, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Randy Zangara, our KCSD officers, and the officers who responded from the City of Lock Haven,” Superintendent Dr. Jacquelyn Martin said during the school board Work Session this evening.
“It is important to plan and practice for events, and we received many compliments from faculty, staff, and parents about how the incident was handled this afternoon,” Martin said.

“Successful Crisis Response does not happen out of sheer luck, and I want to emphasize how important it is for us to plan and practice for such events,” the press release stated.
