Guilty plea entered in South Renovo home invasion

LOCK HAVEN, PA – Breanna Englert, 26, of Crist Lane, Lock Haven, entered guilty pleas to eight separate crimes on Tuesday relating to a home invasion on the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue in South Renovo in April of this year.

Englert entered guilty pleas before Clinton County Judge Michael F. Salisbury to one count of criminal trespass, one count of terroristic threats, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, two counts of simple assault, one count of cruelty to animals, and one count of resisting arrest.

Englert was alleged to have broken into a private residence in the late night hours where she was confronted by the homeowners and a neighbor who ran to the home when he heard the commotion. Authorities said Englert was believed to have been under the influence of controlled substances at the time, and she is alleged to have attacked the homeowner’s dog with a knife and bit two of the victims, who required medical attention.

She is scheduled to appear for sentencing in December and faces a statutory maximum of up to 27 years.
