Milton downs Wildcats 3-0
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA- It was a cool crisp evening perfect for a soccer game and a battle of two PHAC opponents. Central Mountain came into the evening 3-2 and Milton 6-2. The Black Panthers came out on top with the 3-0 victory. The game started with both teams trying to set up some shots and go back and forth.
Milton continued to battle and would open things up when Evan Yoder notched a solo shot to the back of the net at 12:36 left in the first half and the Black Panthers did not look back. A second goal was scored when Cade Swartzentruber took a shot that hit Wildcat goalie Luke Simcox’s hands and got past him for the 2-0 score. After a penalty in the box with just 1:58 in the half, Dominic Ballo made the goal for the 3-0 lead.
The second half would see the Wildcats battle with more speed and vigor but come up unable to score on a strong Milton defense. The Wildcat saw their first corner kicks of the game in the second half with three.
Wildcat goalie Luke Simcox had eight saves for the night. Bronson Brungard provided the Wildcats with several good goal kicks.
With the loss the Wildcats will be 3-3 on the young season and next in action Saturday as they host Warrior Run at Malinak Stadium at 11 a.m. Milton moves to 7-2 and will be on the road Thursday for a game against Williamsport.
