Lock Haven Skatepark construction to begin Monday, Aug.28
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The City of Lock Haven is excited to share the progress of the Lock Haven Skatepark project and alert the community of construction to begin next week. This is the first step in the multiphase renovation project occurring at Hoberman Park over the next two years.
Demolition of the existing skatepark will begin Monday of next week. Lead contractor Skateboard Supercross, LLC, has subcontracted with local firm Harger Utility to demolish and prepare the site. Following demolition, cement work will be completed and the skatepark will begin to take shape. The last piece of the puzzle, the asphalt pump track, will be completed by a specialized subcontractor Velosolutions. In all, the project aims to be completed by the end of 2023.
The city asks that park visitors be considerate of the work and stay clear of the construction zone. If there are any questions or concerns about the project, please contact Abbey Roberts, Planner & Development Coordinator at 570-893-5903 or aroberts@lockhavenpa.gov.
