Keystone Central announces multiple CTC student test achievers

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Keystone Central is proud to announce that many of its Career and Technology Center (CTC) students have tested competent or advanced on their National Occupational Competency Test (NOCTI) and NIMS (National Institute of Metalworking Skills) Exam.

NOCTI tests are developed by teams of subject matter experts to meet industry standards and requirements and result in credentials measuring skills and competencies critical for student success outside the classroom. The tests are given at the students’ school with individuals from local business and industry evaluating student performance. These tests provide students the opportunity to demonstrate they have acquired the technical skills needed for entry-level employment and post-secondary education.

NIMS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was formed in 1995 to develop and maintain a globally competitive American workforce. The vision of NIMS is to build a globally competitive American workforce through collaboratively established industry standards, proven training frameworks and processes that dynamically respond to our technology-driven economy.

According to Kurt Lynch, Career and Technology Director, these students are ready to being their journey in the world of work or further training. “I am proud of our student accomplishments and the support of the school district and local businesses in providing opportunities for these students to succeed.”
