Pardoe named to all-state hoop team

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Central Mountain High School senior Hayden Pardoe has been named to the PA Sportswriters All-State Boys Basketball Team.

Pardoe, Heartland Conference MVP this past season, was named to the all-state Class 5A third team. The 6-5 Pardoe led the Wildcats in multiple offensive categories: points, 21 per game; rebounds, 8.1 per game; shooting percentage, 55%; 3-point percentage, 37%; blocks, 3 per game; and points scored, 568.

Pardoe, along with fellow Heartland Conference all-star Jack Hanna, led the Wildcats to a school-record 24-3 season, which included Heartland Conference District 4-6 titles.

Pardoe announced last month he will be attending Lycoming College.

A former Central Mountain player, Ava Renninger, was recently named to the Sportswriters All-State girls’ team, earning second-team honors at the 5A level with Archbishop Wood. She played her freshman year at Central Mountain and is now a junior at Archbishop Wood in suburban Philadelphia.
