Saturday’s Frozen Snot race lives up to its name

McELHATTAN, PA – 303 brave participants completed Saturday’s rugged Frozen Snot race, apply called a “frigid adventure.” Race organizers tout the Frozen Snot as the “worst of Bald Eagle Mountain” and “usually on the coldest week of the year.” Saturday’s single digit temperatures did not disappoint.

When it was over, Reagan McCoy of Lock Haven was the overall winner in the 13.5-mile-long course, his time 2:39:12. Lisa Fisher of Cogan Station was first among female finishers, her time 3:21:53.

The 8.3 mile short course saw Dean Banko of New Florence first across the finish line in a time of 2:00:12; first female was Meira Minard, no address listed, her time 2:36.

Oldest participant was Tony Ruth, 92, from Seneca, his time 4:45:09.

Event organizers made a point to thank the many volunteers for donating their time to make the event the success it is.
