Central Mountain baseball lands eight on Heartland Conference all-star team

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain baseball team has eight players on the recently announced Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference all-star team and seven of the eight are underclassmen.

The Wildcats went 17-6 this past spring and won another District 6-8-9 championship before falling in the first round of the PIAA playoffs by a 4-3 score to eventual champion Bethel Park.

First-team Wildcat selections were senior infielder Cayde McCloskey and two juniors, catcher Nate Helms and pitcher Chase Brush.

Second team picks were junior infielder Gabe Johnson and four sophomores in outfielders Connor Foltz and Kevin Grenninger, pitcher Brady Myers and utility selection Elek Fravel.

PHAC champion Selinsgrove had nine all-stars named. The Seals edged Central Mountain for the Heartland crown and advanced to the PIAA final before falling to Bethel Park.
