Central Mountain Tracksters participate at State Meet

SHIPPENSBURG, PA – The Central Mountain Track and Field teams were well represented at the PIAA AAA state meet held Friday and Saturday at Shippensburg University.

Brett Gerlach cleared 6′ 2″ in the high jump to land him a 10th place finish.  Brett  plans to continue jumping in college. Alyssa VanGorder placed 22nd in the Shot Put with a throw of 29′ 11.25″, Lily Hendricks placed 12th in triple jump with a jump of 37′ 3″, and Grace Rizzo placed 23rd in discus with a throw of 93′ 8″.

Head coach Ellie Sikorskas said, “A job well done! Proud of the team that went out and did their best the past couple of days. It was a tough season with a successful ending.”
