CM boy booters felled by state power Lewisburg
LEWISBURG, PA – The Central Mountain boys’ soccer traveled to #5 Lewisburg on Monday afternoon, and came up empty. The defending state champs, with a record of 11-1-1 on the year, proved to be too much for the Wildcats, blanking them 6-0.
Senior Clay Confer did well in goal contrary to the score line, making many saves to prevent any more goals finding their way into the net. A few Wildcats did record shots on the day, including Peyton Jones, Nate Brinker, and Lincoln Breon.
The Wildcats fall to 4-10, still eyeing a possible District 6 playoff berth, hoping the difficult PHAC schedule is preparing them for that possibility.
Central Mountain will be back in action Wednesday, traveling to Altoona (6-4) for a 7:30 p.m. contest, followed by a Friday night home game with St. Marys, Senior Night.
