CM Boys Soccer on a Push
WILLIAMSPORT – The Central Mountain boys’ soccer team has been doing a lot of things well as of late, a 3-game winning streak pushing the Wildcats to 8-4 as postseason play gets closer.
Recent wins have come over Milton, 4-1; a 3-1 road win at Hollidaysburg last Saturday; and most impressive of all, a 4-1 win at Williamsport Monday night.
Coach Jeff Brinker’s team plays its best ball when it sees the Cherry and White of Williamsport. The Millionaires are 7-2-1 on the season, both losses at the feet of the Wildcats.
Thomas Eaton led the Wildcat offense in the most recent win over Williamsport, scoring two goals, one on an assist from Phil Brinker, the other on a free kick. Other goals came from Chandler Condo, with an assist from Eaton, and Emery Watson with an assist from Brinker.
The Wildcats outshot the Millionaires 12-9 and had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. David Kohen was again solid in goal for Central Mountain, credited with one save.
