Four Wildcats qualify for Fargo nationals

MANHEIM, PA – The Central Mountain wrestling program will be well represented when the Junior Nationals are held in Fargo, ND in mid-July.

Luke Simcox on Sunday claimed the PA State Freestyle championship at 132 pounds with a first period technical fall in the finals to become the fourth of four Wildcat wrestlers to head to Fargo next month.

Others making the trip will include incoming freshman Dalton Perry who had qualified earlier; Taylor Weaver who placed in both freestyle and Greco and Griffin Walizer who had finished second in Greco a week earlier at the Northeast regional tournament, qualifying for the trip to the national tourney.

Two Wildcat program participants, Luke Ananea and Gavin Heverly each placed fifth at the state tourney in the 14 and under division.
