Douglas E. Miller – Obituary
Douglas E. Miller, 59 of Dauphin, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Doug was born in Renovo, PA and was the son of the late John and Reba Miller. He was a member of the Class of 1979 at Bucktail Area High School, Renovo. He worked 34 years for the Commonwealth of PA, retiring from the Department of Revenue, where he was an IT Manager. He attended Linglestown Life United Methodist Church. Doug served active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 1979 to 1983; and was a member of the PA Air National Guard until 2003, attaining the rank of Captain.
Doug is survived by his wife of 27 years, Melissa Miller; his sons, Wesley Miller and Timothy Miller. Also surviving are his sisters, Judith Swartz and Kim (Michael) Lehr and brother, Steve Miller. Doug was beloved by his many nieces and nephews. He was always happiest when spending time with his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Linglestown Life United Methodist Church, 1430 N. Mountain Road, Harrisburg. We kindly ask those in attendance to wear a mask; and social distancing measures will be in effect. Inurnment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, prior to the service.
