Mark “Mick” Hevner – Obituary

Mark “Mick” Hevner, 63, of Lakeside, AZ, formerly of North Bend, PA, passed away April 22, 2020.

Mark was born August 28, 1956 to Richard D. Hevner and Alice J. (Redos) Hevner of Little Italee. Mark was preceded in death by his beloved mother.

After graduating from Bucktail Area High School he went to work at Piper Aircraft until the plant closed. Then he started his own private contracting and tree trimming business, later he was a laborer with Laborers Local Union 824. Mark was a loving father and grandfather.

Surviving are his three children: Grant Hevner, Connie (Hevner) Hale, and Renee (Hevner) Serafini. He was also blessed with ten grandchildren whom he adored: Hannah, Isabella, Gino, Rocco, Paul, Vivian, Mario, Justin, Serenity, and Ridge. Additionally, he is survived by his father, two brothers and three sisters.

He valued family, honesty, and integrity above all. Mark enjoyed spending time outdoors; his passions included hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was active until his last day, and was always working on a project. Mark was known for his deep, hearty laugh, animated storytelling, and ability to make friends easily.  He will be sorely missed at family gatherings, euchre games, and prime fishing spots.

A private visitation was held in California.  The family will host a Celebration of Life memorial at a later date.
