Margaret L. Langone – Obituary
Margaret L. Langone, 88, passed away on January 23, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Renovo, PA, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lucile Filbin.
Following her graduation from St. Joseph’s High School in 1949, she entered Sacred Heart School of Nursing, Allentown, PA and graduated in 1952. She then worked two years at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, PA and next moved to Manhasset, Long Island, NY to continue working in her profession.
Margaret is survived by her husband Robert Langone, one daughter, Patricia (Raymond) Gorka and four sons, Robert (Linese) Langone, Thomas Langone, Gerald (Antoinette) Langone and John (Stephanie) Langone and six grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Janet Kristick of Palmyra, PA and two brothers Edwin Filbin of Oakland Township, MI and Paul Filbin of Oak Park IL.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, John Filbin.
A solemn funeral mass was held for her on January 28, 2020 at Saint Patrick’s church, Glen Cove, NY.
