Lady ‘Cats Fall to Juniata Late, 3-1

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Lady Wildcats came up short in a competitive game with Juniata on Saturday morning, falling to the Lady Indians, 3-1.

The game was still scoreless until the end of the first period and was knotted at 1-1 with 20:00 remaining in the game.

Juniata did have a decided edge in opportunities with 15 shots on goal, but CM keeper, Hailey Swortwood was solid in goal once more with 15 saves to her credit.

Avery Baker scored the lone goal for the Lady ‘Cats while Amelia McCloy and Jocelyn Renninger had one shot on goal each for CM.

“They really played hard the entire game,” said CM head coach Jeff Brinker, “I’m really pleased with their effort. The girls are coming along nicely.”

Central Mountain will nwxt travel to Williamsport on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019.
