Wildcats, Huskies make Top 25 State Dual Team Rankings

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PA Power Wrestling has listed Central Mountain and Mifflin County among their top 25 AAA Dual Team rankings for the 2018-19 season.

The Wildcats are currently ranked 18th with an overall record of 3-0 on the new season with wins over Selinsgrove, 58-15; Jersey Shore, 62-12 and BEA, 58-9. CM also picked up a second place title at the season opening, Tom Best Memorial – Top Hat tournament and and finished eighth at the King of the Mountain tournament.

The Huskies are ranked No. 25 in the poll and stand at 4-1 on the season thus far taking the championship title at the Warwick Duals with wins over West Perry, 67-6; West Chester Rustin, 50-27 and Warwick, 54-12. Mifflin County also picked up a regular season 38-25 win over State College this past Thursday and fell to Mid-Penn foe, Central Dauphin, 41-27 on Dec. 13. Mifflin County also placed sixth at King of the Mountain.

These two rivals will meet face-to-face when the Wildcats travel to Mifflin County on Jan. 23. Shortly after will be the District 6 AAA team duals, Last season, the Huskies edged CM in the team dual semi-final on criteria after wrestling to a 35-35 tie. The Huskies went on to win the D6 title after defeating Bald Eagle Area 36-33 in the finals.
