Seals Outpace Central Moutain, 5-0
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – In their third outing of the week, with was another loss for the Lady Wildcat soccer team. This time at the dads of Selinsgrove, 5-0.
The Lady Seals scored their first goal of the game 10 minutes into the contest then added two more in the final 2 minutes of of the first period and a third score with 23 seconds before intermission for a commanding 3-0 lead.
Selinsgrove added 2 more goals in the second period, the first 8 minutes in and the final score with 5:11 remaining in the contest for the 5-0 win.
The Lady Seals held a significant lead in corner kicks, 15-1 and shots on goal with 13 to only 2 for Central Mountain.
CM goal keeper, Hailey Swortwood had a very busy night with 8 saves behind an also very busy defensive corps in front of her.
The loss takes Central Mountain to 1-10 overall, 0-5 in the PHAC.
The Lady Wildcats will next host rival Jersey Shore on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. There will be a JV game with first touch slated for 10 a.m. playing two 15 minute periods.
