New LHU President Begins Duties

Lock Haven University’s new president, Robert Pignatello, and his partner, Amy Molyneux, welcomed LHU staff, faculty, students and members of the community to the Poorman Commons on July 2 for an ice cream social. Pignatello and Molyneux met with the LHU community for ice cream and conversation as part of Pignatello’s first day as the university’s new leader. LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven University’s new president, Robert Pignatello, and his partner, Amy Molyneux, welcomed LHU staff, faculty, students and members of the community to the Poorman Commons on Monday for an ice cream social. Pignatello and Molyneux met with the LHU community for ice cream and conversation as part of Pignatello’s first day as the university’s new leader.

The school’s 15th president comes to Lock Haven from New York City where he had been senior vice president for finance and administration and chief operating officer for Hunter College.

A native of northern New Jersey, Pignatello has a bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration from Montclair State University, Montclair, New Jersey, and a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University. He expects to complete work this year on a Doctor of Education degree in higher education leadership and management at St. Peter’s University, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
