Thank-you Clinton County! (Video Report)
MACKEYVILLE – When setting the stage for the 2014 edition of the Clinton County Relay for Life event, the co-chairs and committee had set the lofty goal of raising $64,000.
For some communities that may not sound like such a high expectation, though from a small, mostly rural county where the trees far outnumber the human residents, it could be a daunting task to raise that amount.
Fortunately, Clinton County residents and businesses have always been a very giving community. Hard work, good planning and vast participation, this year the relay raised $78,481.08, significantly surpassing all expectations.
The Record would like to commend all involved and offer a sincere well-done to everyone who helped make it possible to continue the fight against cancer while we remember those whom we have lost along the way.
