Seals Edge CM 1-0 in OT

cm-soccerSELINSGROVE – The Wildcats boys’ soccer team faced a tough road trip challenge with the Seals, falling 1-0 in overtime.

Selinsgrove and Central Mountain played nil-all for 80 minutes of regulation and the first ten minute overtime period and it was the Seals who finally found the net with 9:35 remaining in the second OT to pick up the 1-0 win.

The stats for thew game except in one area were just as even. Selinsgrove had a slight edge in shots on goal 6-5 but held a distinct advantage in corner kicks at 10-2 over the ‘Cats.

Matt Storeman and Alec Leuthold each had a pair of shots on goal and Trey Gentzel had one shot to his credit.

Nick Andrus had 4 saves on the night.

The Wildcats are now 3-3 on the season and will next see action when they host Jersey Shore on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017.
