Lock Haven Summer Concerts: New Day and New Time
LOCK HAVEN—For the first time since its inception some 17 years ago, the riverside portion of Lock Haven’s summer concert series will switch days and times effective this weekend.
The new date and time will be Saturday at 5 p.m., a departure from earlier Corman Amphitheater concerts previously held Sundays at 6:30 p.m. The concerts will continue to be two and a half hours in length.
First band to appear on the new Saturday schedule will be “Banned Together,” a brass rock group. The Friday schedule at Triangle Park will remain unchanged, those concerts beginning at 6 p.m. Entertainment Friday will be provided by “Kick Trax.”
Concert committee members earlier this year announced the floating stage concert move to Saturdays in August. They said they wanted to gauge public response to Saturday concerts, as opposed to those previously held on Sundays. They also noted the days get shorter in August, thus the earlier start time.
