Jersey Shore Area 8-10 All-Stars Outlast Muncy 6-5
MONTGOMERY – The Jersey Shore Area Little League 8-10 All-Stars prevailed once more with a 6-5 win over Muncy.
Once again Jersey Shore took advantage of stringing together a few hits and a few walks to keep pace with Muncy and relied upon a bend-but-don’t-break defense to preserve the win.
Abigail Haight had two doubles on the night with Taylor Wahlers adding a double of her own.
Katelyn Stover worked the circle once again striking out 10 and giving up 10 walks on the night, highlighted by Stover and her defense retiring the side in order to close out the game.
Shore will next face Loyalsock, who lost to 14-2 to Williamsport tonight, in the winner’s bracket final. That game at Nippenose Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. The winner of that contest will face Williamsport, Tuesday, July 12 at 6 p.m. in Nippenose for the District 12 championship.
