Opening Approaches for New Renovo “Fine Wines & Spirits” Store

RENOVO — The new sign went up today and hours have been announced for the new state liquor store in Renovo.

The state Liquor Control Board has announced a ribbon-cutting and grand opening for this Friday at 11 a.m. at the new “Fine Wine & Spirits Store” at 167 Seventh St.

According to a notice posted at the Lock Haven state store, the new store “will bring our customers a new retail experience designed to make shopping for wines and spirits easy, inspiring and educational.” Those wishing to attend are invited to “Stop by for light refreshments throughout the day.”

An LCB spokesman said agency chairman Tim Holden will be among those in attendance.

He said the new store will be open four days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will have one employee and stock more than 1,200 “wines and spirits,” he said.

The building at Huron Avenue and Seventh Street has been converted from an Amish farmers’ market.
