It’s official: Renovo State Store Coming Back
RENOVO — A legal notice from the state Liquor Control Board brings word that Renovo, long without a state store, will soon have one, the location the former Renovo Farmers Market on Huron Ave.
The LCB legal notice will be in the May 19 print issue of The Record. It reads:
NOTICE OF LOCATION OF PENNSYLVANIA LIQUOR STORE FOR THE SALE OF LIQUOR – In accordance with the provisions of the Act of April 12, 1951, P.L. 90, known as the “Liquor Code,” notice is hereby given that the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has determined upon the location of a Wine & Spirits Store at 167 7th Street, Renovo, 17764-1167 Clinton County, PENNSYLVANIA LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD
The legal notice confirms what The Record had reported in March; the new location the former Renovo Farmers Market operated by David Glick. At one time a Widmann’s Store, it had served as an Amish market from the spring of 2014 until closing at Christmas time last winter.
A state store had been located in the former Knights of Columbus building on Erie Ave. in Renovo but moved out some years ago, the building ultimately torn down.
