BMC Receives Encouraging News
SOUTH RENOVO – The Bucktail Medical Center is buoyed by word that long overdue state/federal dollars will be flowing its way, but the medical center is not sure just when.
The Harrisburg tie-up controlling those funds ended when Gov. Tom Wolf last week agreed to allow a Republican-passed budget to become law for the current fiscal year. It cleared the way for disbursement of some $400,000 due the BMC.
Administrator Tim Reeves said today the medical center still “is not quite sure” when the money will arrive but that the “fact we know it’s coming goes a long way.” He said he talked to state Rep. Mike Hanna earlier today and Hanna’s office will be attempting to expedite its delivery. He said information on dispersal of those funds, including Hanna, is being sought through several sources and said he believes more information should be available in a week.
