Wildcats Cruise to 3-1 Win Over Milton
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain boys’ soccer team recorded a workman like effort in their 3-1 victory over visiting Milton Tuesday evening at Malinak Stadium.
It took just over 27 minutes for the Wildcats to score first on a “own goal” the result of the effort by Kevin Hook and Kline Williams to put the Milton defense in a bad position for the score.
With a 1-0 lead after intermission, CM continued their effort to dominate possession of the ball.
Then Alex Garbrick found the back of the net 19:28 into the second period with Matt Storeman and Kline Williams on the assist.
Then nearly five minutes later, Garbrick scored once more unassisted.
The final score of the game came as a result of a penalty kick by Milton with 6:36 remaining in the contest.
Offensively, the Wildcats did indeed dominate in all stats including the scoreboard. Central mountain led in shots on goal 7-2; corner kicks 6-0. Milton recorded 7 saves on the night while Brody Baker defended the goal twice.
