McDermit Charged with Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot
On September 27, 2025, at approximately 5:47 p.m., the Renovo Police Department attempted to arrest Darryl McDermit Jr., 43, currently residing in South Renovo, on seven outstanding warrants near the intersection of Erie Avenue and 4th Street in Renovo Borough. McDermit fled from police on foot but was apprehended a short time later on Ontario Avenue. He was subsequently committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 bail on a new misdemeanor charge of Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot, in addition to the seven existing warrants.

McDermit Charged with Propulsion of Missiles into Roadway, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Mischief
The Renovo Police Department has charged Darryl McDermit Jr., 43, of South Renovo, with Propulsion of Missiles into the Roadway, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Mischief. The charges stem from an incident that occurred shortly after 4:00 a.m. on September 16, 2025, on Huron Avenue. According to police, McDermit was walking down Huron Avenue, “flailing his arms about”, when he picked up a large borough trash can and threw it into the roadway. McDermit has been issued a summons to appear in court as a result of the incident.
