Lady Wildcats Fall on Senior Night Against Jersey Shore
MILL HALL – Central Mountain girls soccer celebrated Senior Night on Wednesday before squaring off against down-river rival Jersey Shore. Seniors Kendall Veltri, Remington Veltri, and Hannah Englert were honored prior to kickoff along with the seven Jersey Shore Seniors.
The first half remained scoreless, though the Lady Bulldogs applied consistent pressure and kept the Wildcats on their heels.
With 17:10 left to play, Aaralynn Kimble broke through to put Jersey Shore ahead 1-0. Less than six minutes later, Elliana Herr added another goal to extend the lead. The Bulldogs sealed the victory in the final minute when they scored again with just 48 seconds on the clock, earning a 3-0 win.
The loss drops Central Mountain to 1-7 on the season. The Lady Wildcats will look to bounce back Thursday when they travel to face Central Columbia.
