Cash Bingo Event on the Horizon: Support the Arts at the Millbrook Playhouse Cash Bingo Fundraiser Sunday, March 23

LOCK HAVEN— Mark your calendars for a day filled with excitement and the satisfying shout of “Bingo!” Millbrook Playhouse is thrilled to announce its much-anticipated Cash Bingo Fundraiser, set to take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025. The event will be held at the Keystone Babe Ruth Bingo Hall, located on the third floor of the Piper Aviation Museum at 1 Piper Way in Lock Haven, with elevator access available. Doors open at 11:00 a.m., and the games will begin at 1:00 p.m. This event not only offers the chance to win fantastic cash prizes but also provides an opportunity to support the arts within our community.
Betsy Bowman, secretary of the board of directors at the Millbrook Playhouse, shared exciting details about the fundraising event, coordinated by former Millbrook Playhouse board member Ann Marie Hunsinger. Their efforts ensure a day of entertainment that directly supports the local theatre’s vibrant summer productions.
Participants will compete for cash prizes ranging from $30 to $250 across 20 thrilling bingo games. There will be additional opportunities to win, including rip tickets, a 50/50 draw, and an enticing array of raffle baskets. For those feeling particularly lucky, extra bingo cards will be available for purchase.
All funds raised during this event will go toward offsetting costs for the summer productions at Millbrook Playhouse. “The rights to a show can cost in the tens of thousands,” Bowman explained. “Ticket sales alone do not cover the expenses incurred to produce them, so we rely on fundraisers such as this bingo event and ‘Brews in the Barn’.”
Tickets are $25 if purchased in advance and $30 at the door. They can be purchased from any board member, online through the Millbrook Playhouse website at https://millbrookplayhouse.org/, at It Is What It Is in downtown Lock Haven, or by calling the Box Office at 570-748-8083 (Option 1). Please note that everyone must have a ticket to participate, and attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Organizers invite attendees to bring their appetites, as there will be food, drinks, baked goods, and snacks available for purchase.
