Lock Haven Athletics to host 2025 National Girls & Women in Sports Day Event (Sunday, Feb. 3)

LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven Department of Athletics will hold its 2025 National Girls and Women in Sport Day (NGWSD) celebration on Sunday, Feb. 3 starting at 2 p.m.

Lock Haven’s annual event will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and will include a variety of mini-sport clinics, a pizza party, recognition at the Bald Eagles women’s wrestling match, and more for girls grades K-8.

The event will start at 2 p.m. with registration at 1:30 p.m. in Lock Haven’s Zimmerli Gymnasium (third floor) and will conclude at 3:30 p.m., where everyone in attendance is invited to Thomas Fieldhouse for a pizza party and to cheer on the women’s wrestling team as they take on Ursinus and Gannon.

The Bald Eagles tri-match is also the programs Senior Day.

Event Schedule

Registration – 1:30 p.m.

Mini-sport clinics – 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Pizza Party – 3:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Women’s Wrestling Match – 4 p.m.

All participants in Lock Haven’s NGWSD event will be recognized during the women’s wrestling match.
