Lock Haven Kiwanis Club Spreads Holiday Cheer with Personalized Christmas Cards

The Kiwanis Club of Lock Haven used a recent meeting to help spread cheer to the residents of Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living. Club members personalized holiday messages in Christmas cards to each resident at the facility. In total, over 100 Christmas cards were delivered just in time for the holidays. Service project coordinator, Angela Harding said “Our club’s focus is usually for the children in Clinton County, but with the holidays approaching we decided that it would be meaningful to let the Lock Haven Rehab and Senior Living residents know that they are thought of. So many don’t have family or friends close and hopefully our cards will bring a little holiday cheer to their rooms and their hearts”. Several residents and Trish Severino, who serves as the facility’s Activity Director and Volunteer Coordinator accepted the cards on behalf of the residents and will distribute them in the coming week. “Working within the senior population as my career, I am proud of our club for taking the time to make sure every resident receives a holiday card. It means a lot to them knowing that someone has thought of them during this time of year” said Melissa Bottorf, Lock Haven Kiwanis President.
