Wildcats Fall in District 6 Semifinal, 1-0, to Hollidaysburg
HOLLIDAYSBURG-Central Mountain boys soccer traveled to Hollidaysburg last night for the District 6 Class 3A semifinal, where they faced off in a hard-fought 1-0 contest. Hollidaysburg’s Micah Blake, assisted by Arbogast, scored the game’s only goal in the 21st minute, giving the Golden Tigers a lead they would not relinquish.
The Wildcats battled evenly with their opponents, as both teams registered seven shots. Central Mountain goalkeeper Jaggar Pardoe made six crucial saves, while Hollidaysburg’s Jancula tallied seven saves to maintain the shutout.
With the narrow loss, Central Mountain ends their season with a 7-9-3 record. Hollidaysburg, improving to 15-3-1, moves on to the District 6 final. The Wildcats displayed strong effort throughout the season and proved to be formidable contenders in the semifinal match.
