Central Mountain Edged by Mifflin County, 1-0
MILL HALL – The Central Mountain Wildcats boys soccer team faced off against Mifflin County on Saturday morning, battling hard but ultimately falling 1-0.
Mifflin County’s Bryson Wagner scored the game’s only goal just 4:46 into the first half, and despite strong efforts from the Wildcats, they were unable to equalize. Central Mountain dominated the shot count, outshooting Mifflin County 5-2, but were unable to convert their chances.
Mifflin County goalkeeper Jack Suydam played a key role, making five saves to keep Central Mountain off the scoreboard. On the other end, Central Mountain keeper Jaggar Pardoe made two saves in a solid defensive effort.
Central Mountain had two corner kicks to Mifflin County’s four but couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities. The Wildcats will look to bounce back in their next match as they continue their season.
