LHU’s Brown named Women’s Lacrosse PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week
LOCK HAVEN – After leading the Lock Haven lacrosse team to a 2-0 week, Mackenna Brown (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas Institute) was tabbed Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday afternoon (March 6).
Brown claims the first Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week this season.
The sophomore highlighted an impressive week on the defensive end for Lock Haven and finished with four caused turnovers and five ground balls to help lead the Bald Eagles to a pair of victories.
In the victory over Daemen on Saturday, Brown caused a game-high three turnovers, while securing four ground balls.
In the season-opening victory over Ashland, Brown caused a turnover and scooped up a ground ball, while also dishing out an assist on the offensive end.
The Bald Eagles are off to a 2-0 start through their non-conference schedule and are set to host Wilmington (Del.) today at 3 p.m. at Charlotte E. Smith Field.
