Obituary -MaryJane Bauman

MaryJane Bauman, 84, of Lock Haven, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.

Born June 27, 1939 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Tessie Shadle Shields.

MaryJane was a 1957 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

On January 2, 1965, she married James William Bauman, who preceded her in death August 19, 2016.

MaryJane was employed at Ames, Woodmen’s Warehouse, Merrimont Laundry, the Blue Chimney Restaurant and also served as a companion and aide to many local elderly people.

She was a devoted member of the Dunnstown United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

MaryJane enjoyed knitting, watching soap operas, reading, animals and spending time with children.

She is survived by four children, Clyde (Christina) Bauman of Bellefonte, Rebecca “Becky” Bauman of Lock Haven, Cindy Bauman of Lock Haven and Andy (Colleen) Bauman of Williamsport; a sister, Margaret Ellen “Peg” Walizer of Dallastown; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Wyatt) Sanders and Colleen (Tanner Ferrara) George; and six great-grandchildren: Aniston Grace and Archer Oakley Torres, Abel James and Jacks Wesley Sanders, Giovanni William, Armanoi Joseph and Amelia Skye Ferrara.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Shields.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10 A.M. at Dunnstown United Methodist Church, 54 Church St., Lock Haven, PA 17745. Burial committal services will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 P.M.
