Queen of The Mountain held at Central Mountain

MILL HALL-The Central Mountain Lady Wildcats wrestling team of Head Coach Dylan Caprio won two of their five matches to take a sixth place finish in the 10–team Queen Of The Mountain Duals Tournament held at Central Mountain High School on Sunday afternoon. 

The Lady Wildcats defeated Williamsport 36-24 and Shikellamy 30-24, while dropping matches to Pocono Mountain West 60-12 and Philipsburg-Osceola 30-24 in their five team round robin pool. Pocono Mountain West won Pool B with a 4-0 mark and Philipsburg-Osceola went 3-1. Williamsport was 1-3 and Shikellamy rounded out the pool with an 0-4 mark. 

In Pool A the girls from Canon-McMillan posted a perfect 4-0 record, while Hughesville finished second with a 3-1 mark. Big Spring, just the Central Mountain girls, finished 2-2 in their pool play, while Danville went 1-3 and Bald Eagle Area went 0-4. 

The 1st thru 9th place matches pitted each team from each pool who finished in the identical positions of their pool. The Lady Wildcats faced Big Spring in the match for 5th Place, as both teams went 2-2 in their pool. The girls from Big Spring came away with a 36-18 win over the girls from Central Mountain. 

Canon-McMillan defeated Pocono Mountain West 66-12 to win the tournament title, while Hughesville defeated Philipsburg-Osceola 36-24 for third place. Williamsport defeated Danville 28-18 to take seventh place and Shikellamy defeated Bald Eagle Area 30-12 in the 9th place match. 

Austynn Falls (142) and Kendall Wagner (190) led the Lady Wildcats with a perfect 5-0 record on the day, while Ashlyn Miller (235) went 4-0 on the day. Falls recorded four falls in her five wins, while Wagner recorded three falls. Other Lady Wildcats were Emma Scarborough-Perez (112) and Callie Della (170) both went 3-2 on the day, while Kennedy Metzger (130) was 1-4 for the day.
