Keystone Central pledges cooperation in probe of inappropriate conduct allegations at CMMS
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Keystone Central School District Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin on Friday informed local media that the school district is cooperating with local law enforcement officials in the wake of word earlier this week that they are investigating a case of inappropriate contact between a Central Mountain Middle School student and several adult female staff members there.
Dr. Martin wrote:
The Clinton County District Attorney’s Office in its statement of November 9, 2023 informed the public of an investigation of inappropriate conduct by KCSD staff. It is important that you know that the School District has, at all times, acted swiftly and decisively to protect the health, welfare and safety of all of its students, faculty and staff and will continue to do so in accordance with Pennsylvania law.
The Keystone Central School District has cooperated, and will continue to cooperate, with the law enforcement investigation. Due to the nature of the ongoing criminal investigation, the School District will not provide any further comment or information on the matter.
District Attorney Dave Strouse said that Mill Hall police are investigating the incident and further comment would be made when the investigation is complete. He said at the time that all staff members associated with the investigation, except one individual who is no longer with the district, have been placed on leave by the school district.
