Lock Haven man arrested six times since 2021 sentenced to state prison

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The man who once attempted to break into the Lock Haven Police Department in June of 2021 to retrieve drugs seized from him by police, was back in court Tuesday and was sentenced to state prison for the first time.

Lyric Wynn, 23, of Lucas Lane, Lock Haven, was before Clinton County President Judge Craig P. Miller for sentencing and parole and probation violations. In July of this year, Wynn was detained by Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar on a probation detainer and taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility. Before PSP could take Wynn into custody, he fled PSP on foot which resulted in a prolonged foot pursuit. Wynn was eventually taken into custody of several Troopers and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility. While there, authorities said, Wynn then made a comment to a probation officer about how much she valued her life, and then threw a container of unknown fluid on the officer. Wynn was then heard making several additional threats to harm other individuals including Deputy Sheriffs and Correctional Officers.

On Tuesday, Judge Miller sent Wynn to SCI at Camp Hill for an aggregate minimum term of 17 months, and a maximum of 96 months. Wynn asked Miller to give him time-served and claimed he was a “non-violent” offender. District Attorney Dave Strouse, who argued on behalf of the Commonwealth, told the Court that Wynn, “has no respect for this Court, no respect for police, no respect for probation officers, and he showed he has no respect for other human beings.” Strouse added, “The defendant has been given every benefit of the doubt. This is the same guy who tried to burglarize a police department to get his drugs back. Enough is enough. At this point he has earned a state prison sentence.” The Commonwealth sought a 20 month minimum and a maximum of 96 months.
