Dominion Foundation Awards Renovo Area Volunteers
RICHMOND, VA – The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has committed $1 million to aid COVID-19 relief efforts. Of the $1 million commitment, $250,000 will go to the American Red Cross as it continues to mobilize efforts to respond to the outbreak, and the remaining $750,000 will provide funding to nonprofits addressing direct needs in the communities across the entire Dominion Energy footprint.
According to a Dominion Energy Tuesday release, four state service agencies will be awarded Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation COVID-19 grants:
Clinton County:
Kettle Creek Ambulance Association – $2,500 for the purchase of PPE for EMT’s and first responders
Renovo Fire Department – $5,000 for the purchase of PPE for staff and patients
Westmoreland County:
Westmoreland Regional Hospital – $5,000 to assist with emergency COVID-19 expenses
Clarion County:
Clarion Hospital – $5,000 to assist with emergency COVID-19 expenses
In addition, Dominion Energy is delivering 1,000 N95 masks to the Pennsylvania Department of Health to assist the Department in delivering needed supplies for its COVID-19 response.
The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation makes grants available to non-profit organizations throughout the year. Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation grants are limited to organizations defined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Foundation grants are funded by shareholder dollars.
