Third Time is the Charm for City Concert Series
LOCK HAVEN – The Susquehanna River was back where it should be, the storms were gone and Sunday finally saw Lock Haven able to hold its first summer concert at the Corman Amphitheater. Rain knocked out the June 16 concert and the June 23 concert was switched to Woodward Township’s Riverview Park due to high water.
But everything was in alignment Sunday for an appearance by local “arena rock” band Rize (performing until 9 p.m.) and an appreciative audience was on hand.
Saturday afternoon storms over the Lock Haven area had caused some problems, including some lowland flooding and downed trees which closed the Renovo Road for a period. Also uprooted was a portion of a large tree on Second St. in Lock Haven, just off W. Church St. The top of the tree crashed into the roof and a third floor apartment. No injuries were reported. The afternoon storm sent parade viewers at Lock Haven’s Best of Clinton County event scurrying and doused the final entrants in the parade’s line of march.
