Camp Cadet To Hold Open House

LOCK HAVEN – Camp Cadet is in the process of completing its recruitment program in all schools in Clinton County. Camp Cadet personnel will be at Lock Haven City Hall, 20 East Church Street, Lock Haven on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to answer question that parents or children may have about Camp Cadet. Prospective cadets can complete an application at that time. Children who have already sent in an application are urged to attend but your attendance is not mandatory.

Cadet Qualifications

Camp Cadet is established for boys and girls, ages 11 through 14, who reside in Clinton County, or who attend any Clinton County School. If you have already attended this program you are not eligible to go again.

Dates

The girls Camp Cadet program is being held on June 16 thru June 21, 2014, the boys Camp Cadet program is being held on June 23 thru June 28, 2014. This is an overnight camp.

Camp Facility

The program is held at Lock Haven University’s Seig Conference Center, a setting that provides plenty of outdoor activities. Cadets have an opportunity for competitive participation in a variety of sports.

The camp also provides the atmosphere of a Police Academy. Emphasis is placed on self-discipline, in an effort to encourage some form of regimentation in the personal lives of the Cadets.
