Changing of the Court Administrator
LOCK HAVEN – Clinton County has a new court administrator. Don Powers this week began his duties to oversee operation of the county court system. He replaces Miles Kessinger who is stepping down after almost 18 years in the post.
Powers was selected by President Judge Craig Miller and recently received the required approval from the Administrative Office of the Pennsylvania Court System. Powers, a Lock Haven University graduate, had served as office manager and paralegal for Miller when the latter was in private practice from 1986-96. Powers most recently has been self-employed.
Kessinger has logged 24 years in the county courthouse, the first six of which were as a county commissioner; he resigned that post when then-President Judge Richard Saxton named him to replace John Shoemaker as court administrator.
