Milton tops CM girls soccer
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain Lady Wildcat soccer team welcomed Milton, riding a 9-1 record coming into the contest on Saturday at Malinak Stadium. The Lady Cats did all they could, but the visiting team snuck in three goals each half on the way to a 6-0 win.
Madison Hardy had a busy day but made some big time saves. The Lady Wildcats did have some moments in the attacking third but weren’t able to get off any really dangerous shots.
The JV team battled to a 1-1 draw. Milton struck first in the first half. The Lady Wildcats got onto the board off a penalty shot converted by Leah Karstetter. She slotted it to the right side beyond the stretch of the visiting team’s goalkeeper. A good draw for the home side as they increased their intensity and energy in the second half, completed passes and were organized and disciplined in defending tactics.
Another long week for the Blue and White looms. They travel to Shamokin on Tuesday, are away on Thursday to Williamsport and host Bald Eagle Area on Saturday when they welcome the Junior High team to Malinak for the Cara Day Tournament.
