CM tennis sweeps Selinsgrove on Senior Night

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – On a beautiful Thursday at the Gibson Tennis Courts the Central
Mountain girls tennis team defeated Selinsgrove 5-0 on Senior Night. All three seniors (Teresa Temple #2 singles and  #1 doubles Catie Lugg and Jocelyn Sproat all had wins on their night.

After a slow start the girls picked it up a notch to pull out some very close matches. No.1 Addison Lindsay continued her winning ways, coming off her District 6 Championship Wednesday with a 6-0 6-0 win.No.2
Teresa Temple at #2 singles went three sets for her win.  At No.3 Ellie Harry scratched her way to a 2-set win.

Both doubles went to three sets, with the Lady Wildcats losing the first set in each. but the girls stayed strong and battled back for the win.

Head coach Tom Zettle said, “I can’t stress enough how proud I am of these girls today (every day really) for hanging in there and pulling out the win. I keep telling them “it ain’t over til the fat coach sings.” It was a great day for our seniors”
