LH Women’s Soccer drops road contest at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA – The Lock Haven women’s soccer team (1-5, 1-4 PSAC East) fell on the road at West Chester University (4-2-1, 4-2 PSAC East), 4-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 23).

Evelyn Ciaccia (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season in the 62nd minute, but WCU had already built a 3-0 lead.

West Chester scored a pair of goals in each half en route to their fourth PSAC East victory of the year.

The Golden Rams led 24 (11)-13 (10) in shots and 3-2 in corner kicks.

Ciaccia led the Bald Eagles offense with four shots on goal.

Megan Miller (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) made seven saves in net for the Bald Eagles.

The Bald Eagles return home on Wednesday, Sept. 27 for a 7 p.m. conference match against East Stroudsburg at Hubert Jack Stadium.
