Early goal not enough for Wildcat soccer
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Central Mountain scored less than one minute into the game against Central Columbia Saturday afternoon but was left unsatisfied for the next 79 minutes.
Peyton Jones calmly got around the goalie and fired the ball into the back of the net 59 seconds into the game, his second goal in as many games. Jones received a fantastic pass from Jack Grieco, and showed poise as he went to goal. Unfortunately for the Wildcats it was the only time they would see the net move.
Central Columbia would take the lead before half, before adding two more in the second half for the 4-1 final.
Luke Simcox recorded 7 saves in goal as he did his best to keep the Wildcats in the game.
The Wildcats fall to 3-2 on the season, and are back at home on Tuesday as they host another strong PHAC opponent in Milton.
