Letter to the Editor
Clinton County justice?
Dear Editor,
I had the unfortunate obligation to attend another hearing in reference to the murder of one of my beloved grandsons, Jakob Haines. The Judge officiated the hearing in accordance to the wishes of the DA and Saint John’s lawyers. All in my humble opinion who were a bunch of mumbling illiterates . None of which earned their overpriced salaries.
Those following this murder case should have read the autopsy report which stated that Jackob’s chest showed powder burn marks proving that the firearm was placed against my grandson’s chest before it fired the shot gun pellets into his heart which killed him that contradicts Mr. St. John’s statement that he pointed the gun at Jakob and then fired the shot. Manslaughter not; but should have been called MURDER!
The president judge, who knows the young man’s family from prior representations of his parents, is left to do the sentencing because he would not recuse himself from the trial. The idiot will probably give him a slap on the wrist and less than the minimum sentence.
In addition, even after admitting at a prior preceding, they often entertained their young employees and their friends at their home supplying them with alcohol despite them being under age. And why aren’t any charges being brought against them?
Sincerely,
Carl D. Olshefskie
