Bucktail tennis cruises past a pair of NTL teams to move to 7-0

FARWELL, PA- Bucktail continued going through their nonconference slate against NTL opponents on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Bucktail would drop NP-Liberty 4-1 and Towanda 5-0 to complete season sweeps over the Lady Mounties and Lady Black Knights.

On Wednesday in the 4-1 Bucktail victory in Farwell, Alexis Lowery and Mak Wagner picked up singles victories, while the teams of Eva Sockman and Kendall Wagner along with Kedda Bissman and Giada DeMarte also were victorious.

Thursday would bring more Lady Bucks’ domination against Towanda. For the second time this week Bucktail would blank the Lady Black Knights 5-0.

Alexis Lowery continued unbeaten by downing Lainey Aldefer 6-3, 6-2. Gig Balchun bounced Jocelyn Stroud 6-2, 4-6 and 6-3. Mak Wagner kept Bucktail’s singles rolling with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Towanda’s Alyse Bass.

Eva Sockman and Kendall Wagner kept on rolling for Bucktail’s doubles with a 6-3, 7-5 win and Kedda Bissman and Giada DeMarte cruised to another Bucktail’s double victory 6-4, 6-1.

The Lady Bucks, now 7-0, will face NP-Liberty again on the road. Match time has been set for 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept.18.
