Ross Library book sale still happening
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Annie Halenbake Ross Library book sale is still on. Despite the damage to the building in last Thursday’s rains, the book sale will still take place beginning with a special preview night on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.
The sale runs Wednesday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Eight tickets remain for the Tuesday preview night. Tickets are $20 each and come with wine, refreshments, and the chance to shop before the busy Wednesday rush. Friday is half price book day and Saturday is $5 bag day.
Stock rotates daily, so it is worth coming to the sale on multiple days to see new items such as books, CDs, DVDs, education kits, and puzzles.
The sale is so big this year that the library needed to acquire a tent. There will be more than twice as many books and other materials as last year, all steeply discounted.
All proceeds will assist the library in its recovery efforts from the storm damage. The library doesn’t require additional assistance with cleanup and at this time, but may after needs are fully assessed. Supporting the sale or making a donation is currently the best way to assist the library’s recovery.
